PROJECT HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGEMENT

Services can include development and implementation of a project health and safety strategy and loss control program, orientation, emergency response procedures, site specific practices, training and the establishment of information management systems.
The Co-ordinator is an advisor and works through the existing Management Team to implement health and safety directives.

The Project Health and Safety Co-ordinator is able to advise management, demonstrate leadership and train and encourage all workers to include safe work practices in their job performance.
- The Project Health and Safety Co-ordinator will report directly to the Overall Project Manager or alternate.
- Acknowledge health and safety responsibilities as defined by the Project Manager and regulatory agencies.
- Develop health and safety policies as required for overall co-ordination of the projects health and safety plan.
- Develop and conduct health and safety orientations.
- Promote safe work practices.
- Monitor for hazards.
- Conduct site compliance inspections and health and safety audits on a regular basis. Follow through with all corrective action plans.
- Investigate incidents and accidents as required.
- Schedule, lead and track safety meetings.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of required Occupational Health & Safety Committee.
- Complete the Safe-Tee Management Supervisor/Consultant 24-hour report and forward a copy to the Project Manager on a weekly basis.
- Assist with emergency first aid as required.
- Develop, promote, track, analyse & follow-up on hazard id’s.
- Provide project summary reports on a weekly, bi-weekly and/or monthly basis.
- Provide a project health & safety report at the completion of the project.
