Shirley Galloway
Shirley began with an expertise in health, and delivery of health programs as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner. She is:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the province of Saskatchewan
- Member of the North American Nurse Practitioner Association
- Chairperson of the Saskatchewan Association of Registered Nurses, Nursing Education Approval Committee.
- St. John’s Ambulance First Aid instructor
- TDG Instructor (certificate from the Manitoba Trucking Association.)
- Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Certified in Neonatal Advanced Life Support.
- Certified trauma instructor
- Certified audiometric technician-Grant McEwen
In 1996, Shirley initiated Safe-Tee Management in response to an ever-growing demand for health and safety services.
As part of her commitment to ongoing training in Occupational Health and Safety, Shirley is pursuing a Masters of Occupational Health & Safety degree from Century University, New Mexico, USA. This program will allow her to obtain her Bachelors to Masters Degree in four years. It is her intent to be placed on the Doctoral candidate list upon declaring a thesis, and complete her education as a Doctor of Occupational Health & Safety.
Julie Macfarlane, BCOMM
Julie is a graduate of the University of Manitoba, Bachelor of Commerce Honours Program. Julie heads up the claims management department at Safe-Tee Management. Julie brings with her a solid knowledge base in Human Resource Development, government, administrative and public policy, statistical and quantitative management. She is also responsible for all public relations and human resource management. Her abilities as claims manager have assisted Safe-Tee Management to become a leader in claims management!
Jim Galloway, CAT
Jim has completed the Basic Safety Management Program, Occupational Health and Safety Level I & II training, Supervision and Safety and holds a 1A license. Jim also holds a certificate as an Audiometric Technician. Jim has extensive experience in the heavy truck industry. He is certified in CPR/First-Aid, H2S, TDG and WHMIS. Jim conducts all heavy truck inspections and is the lead trainer in Safe-Tee Management’s Heavy Truck Safety program. Jim is active in work site supervision and performs work-site inspections to assist employers in meeting regulatory requirements. As an Audiometric Technician, Jim performs all hearing testing, employee counselling and noise mapping.
Safe-Tee Management also has a pool of pre-qualified health and safety specialists to whom we contract with. All contractors must meet strict pre-qualification standards, some of which include:
- A degree or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
- Registered Nurses license to practice
- EMT qualification
- CRSP designation
- Safety educator qualification
- Safety Systems Level I & II
- Accident Investigation Certificate
- Audiometric Technician certificate
